Yongphula Airport for X-Plane

Yongphula Airport (VQTY) in eastern Bhutan is now available for X-Plane 12 as a freeware scenery developed by Cami De Bellis. This add-on recreates one of the Himalayas’ most demanding high-altitude airfields, featuring accurately placed airport infrastructure, custom-modeled buildings, and enhanced terrain integration. The scenery is based on a modified XP default mesh by Maps2XPlane (Ortho4XP-patch included) to better represent the steep surrounding landscape and the dramatic drop-offs at the edges of the airfield, creating a highly immersive experience:

Often regarded as one of Bhutan’s most challenging domestic airports, Yongphula is situated on a ridge above the Trashigang Valley at an elevation of approximately 8,400 feet. It features a single asphalt runway of roughly 1,270 meters, surrounded by steep Himalayan terrain that leaves little margin for error during approach and departure. Originally released for earlier X-Plane versions, this scenery has now been updated and completely reworked for X-Plane 12.
